Hey everybody! I hope you had a lovely and safe Labor Day weekend. Now that everyone back to work from their three day weekends and probably feeling pretty rough, let’s reflect on our busy brewing weekend!
Friday night we brewed the last of the three beers we will be taking to the Breese Fall Festival, our Hot Blonde Jalapeño Blonde Ale. We also kegged our Red Rye IPA.

Ready to boil!
Jalapeños added to the boil.

The aftermath!
During all this Jalapeño Blonde Ale sexiness we filtered and kegged our Red Rye IPA. Check it out!
Filtering this gorgeous beer. By the way, it tasted amazing, even without carbonation.
Filling up the kegs!
So that was our Friday, a good, productive Friday. Our mash efficiency hit 90% and our brewhouse efficiency hit 74% not too shabby if I do say so myself!
Let’s talk about Labor Day. Most people relax on Labor Day, drink beer, eat BBQ and hang out with friends and family. What did we do? We labored! In a good way though. We got together with Matt from Recess Brewing and brewed a batch of their 2211 IPA. This was the first time we brewed on a 5 BBL system, and it was a BLAST! Here’s some pictures of our day.
So that was our big brewing weekend in pictures! This Friday we bottle the Red Rye IPA and transfer the Smokey Grove to secondary. Have a great week!
Until next time…
