An Addendum to an Update

hazmatSo I know that Justin already provided a brief update Regular Guy Brewing’s recent activity, but I also wanted a chance to chime in…with visuals.

First off, let’s talk about last Friday night. It was a busy…but very fruitful evening that will pay dividends down the line as we continue to lay our plans towards professional brewing. We built ourselves a fermentation/carbonation chamber. In other words, we cleaned out and drilled holes into a refrigerator.

But this was no small task. No sirree Bob. This was quite the tall order.

The refrigerator in question was NAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSTTTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Continue reading

A little update…

Hello fellow beers lovers! We got together this Friday to carbonate our latest 10 gallon brew. Seth showed up with a second sixth barrel to accommodate our larger batch (thanks Seth) and he also had a surprise for us as well. He redesigned some labels and man were they awesome! I’m sure he’ll post them on here soon for your viewing pleasure. We also took the fridge from Brian’s garage and cleaned it up, drilled some holes in it and made a temperature controlled environment for carbonating and/or fermenting our beer. Pretty productive night if I do say so myself!

This Friday night we get to drink our delicious pale ale and it marks the return of the jalepeno blond ale. That’s right babies, we’re back at it again!

Have a great week and we’ll keep you posted. Until next time…

Brewing went well!

As all two of our followers know, we brewed Friday night and things went well! Don’t get me wrong, we had a few hiccups, but HEY! It had been a while, we were a little rusty! In the end all of our ingredients combined and made BEER! Sweet glorious beer! Ten gallons of sweet glorious beer!

We are always looking for new suggestions and recipes to try out, so if any of our fellow brewers out there have a favorite recipe, drop us a line. If anything, we could always brew our family renowned jalepeno blonde again!

Until next time…

IT’S BREW DAY!!!!

Sorry for yelling. No I’m not! IT’S BREW DAY!!!

After a long baby break it’s finally time to brew again. Since we loved our APA so much we decided to brew a double batch. This way maybe we’ll actually have a little to pass around to friends and family.

Plus I have a little surprise for my brew brothers. They have no idea what they’re in for!

We’ll keep you posted on the brew.

WE’RE BACK BABY!

So long Office…You Shall Not Be Missed.

As Justin teased in his last post, the three guys behind Regular Guy Brewing have finally reached a point where we are in pretty solid agreement about a game plan for transitioning from a home brewery to a professional operation. We have set a goal for ourselves. Now we just need to fine tune our business plan and track down some money.

Take this as a warning family and friends. I will be hitting you up for support in the not too distant future.

We’ve talked over quite a few options since the idea first came to us to start our own brewery. We crunched a few numbers here and there, and a few even crunched us back. It’s still too early to go into the specifics of our plan (wouldn’t want to jinx anything) but I think the three of us feel pretty darn good about it.

At any rate, thoughts of the future have set the wheels of my mind turning, imagining the various ways that life will be different. One major change. Goodbye office.

officesucksI’m not one to complain about my job (too much) but after nearly nine years of sitting behind a computer at a desk five days a week, it will be quite the change to have to roll up my sleeves everyday and get my hands dirty. It’s a change that I am very much looking forward to.

And that’s where my thoughts have transitioned to a different kind of office that I am looking forward to saying farewell to. That being the NBC sitcom – appropriately titled, “The Office.” Continue reading
