Yep, you guessed it! It’s time for me to update you on the weekend happenings of Regular Guy Brewing. Friday night we got together and brewed our Hot Blonde Jalapeño Blonde Ale.
We are doing a little tinkering with the jalapeños in the recipe to find out exactly where the majority of the heat comes from. Is it in the boil or does it come from secondary?
Once we know what stage the heat comes from, we’ll know how to manipulate it. I have some pictures from brew night, but not as many as I’d like. My wife had a yard sale the following day and my help was requested. Not exactly how I’d like to spend my Friday night, but what are ya gonna do? Without further adieu, the photos…
Hops and jalapeños, a wonderful combination of aromas.
Jalapeño close up. Six ounces of fresh jalapeños for the boil.
Brian and Seth pretending to do something important with TIM.
Handyman Brian making adjustments to the bracket that would hold the new float for the grant. Yes, I’m wearing a duct tape bandaid, if you were wondering what that was.
Seth is working hard on the computer.
This is what happens when Brian knows you are going to take his picture.
It’s a Regular Guy three way selfie!
While I don’t have many pictures of the actual beer being brewed because I had to leave early, Brian was nice enough to send me a couple of photos of the EPA being filtered and kegged.
I’ve never been so excited to try a beer and we get to this Friday! I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Until next time…
