That’s right, we just want to brew up some delicious craft beer!

You: Then go brew some delicious craft beer.

Me: I’d like to, but…

You: (interrupting because you’re quite frustrated because all you’ve heard are excuses about why we can’t brew) NO EXCUSES DAMMIT JUST BREW!

Me: You don’t have to yell.

We go on back and forth like this for a while.

Since the last time we brewed (which by the way, was back on October 24th of 2014, yes almost a full seven months ago) we’ve been plagued by freezing temperatures, the threat of layoffs, home remodeling, work trips, full on reconstruction of a deck, and just simply poor timing. BUT the household projects and work trips and other obligations seem to be slowing down and maybe, just maybe we can get back to brewing. Let me give you an idea of how the last few weeks have gone.

On a Monday:

Me: Guys! (Brian and Seth) I think I’ll be done with the remodeling by Friday, we should brew.

Brian and Seth: Yay! Wooohooo! Let’s brew the Smokey Grove!

On Thursday:

Me: Guys. I hate to say this, but I’m not going to be done with the remodeling and I won’t be able to brew tomorrow.

Brian and Seth: Bummer! That’s ok, we’ll try for next week.

On the following Monday:

Me: Guys! I think I’ll be done with the remodeling by Friday, we should brew.

Brian and Seth: Yay! Wooohooo! We should make our first brew of the season the Hot Blonde!

On Thursday:

Me: I’m sorry guys, but I won’t be able to brew tomorrow. We ran into a bunch of problems and we’re still not done.

Brian and Seth: Damn. Ok. I guess we’ll try for next week.

On the Monday after that:

Me: Guys. I’m not going to be able to brew. I have a bachelor party to attend this weekend.

Brian: Damn it! I need some bro-brew time!

Seth: (Radio silence)

Well now that I’ve pissed of my two best friends and brothers in brew, I don’t know if we’ll ever brew again! Just kidding, they understand. Shit happens and stuff gets in the way of your grand plans.

That said, will this Friday be the day we finally get to put on our brewing hats and break the non-brewing trend? Pins and needles my friends, you’ll be sitting on them.
