After a number of weeks of meetings and cleaning and organizing and being out of town, I’m happy to report that RGB is back baby!
This past Friday Brian, Seth and I got together to brew our Extra Pale Ale and it was phenomenal! Even though this is a favorite of ours, we hadn’t brewed it since June 28th of 2014. Just under a year and a half of denying ourselves of the pure pleasure that is our EPA. What were we thinking???
You know, I could keep going on and on, gushing about how much we love this beer, or I could let the pictures speak for themselves. What do you say? Ok!
Copious amounts of crushed malts.
Plenty of hops.
Mash complete, starting to fill the kettle.
The first runnings, she’s a gorgeous beer.
Kettle is full, waiting for the boil.
Nectar of the Gods filling the fermentation bucket.
Aerating before pitching the yeast.
All in all it was a great night. Our mash efficiency hit 92% and our brewhouse efficiency was 75%. Above all, it was nice to get together with my two best bros and do what we love doing the most.
Until next time…
