Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend and transitioning well to this chilly Monday morning. I hate to brag, but I’m going to anyway. Brian, Seth and I had a fantastic weekend! Want to hear about it? Here it goes!

Last week we kegged our Chocolate Milk Stout, so that meant this past Friday it was time to taste and bottle it. Before I get into how it turned out, I’d just like to preface by saying this was our first time brewing this recipe. We had high hopes considering half of it was put in the bourbon barrel. The fate of our barrel aged beer lie in the hands of this tasting. Well…it was incredible! It was thick and creamy with notes of coffee and chocolate, so rich and malty. Basically everything you’d ever want in a Chocolate Milk Stout. We were happy.

I want you to be happy too, have some pictures!

First I want to start with this, it’s pretty much the norm for Seth to be doing all the work and Brian and I to be goofing off.

We got caught. Ok on to the beer stuff.

We proudly present our Chocolate Milk Stout! Beautiful beer inside and out. I don’t think a RGB blog post would be complete without pictures of the three of us drinking the beer and rubbing it in, so here’s that.

This wonderful brew got a thumbs up all around.

**BARREL UPDATE TIME**
Our Chocolate Milk Stout has only been in the barrel for a week. We went to check on it with the intentions of staring at it lovingly, hugging it and maybe reading it a bedtime story, but we couldn’t resist sneaking a taste. I know, we’re weak men. I am happy to report though, the stout is already picking up the bourbon aroma and flavor. We’ll let her sit another couple of weeks.

Well that’s all I’ve got for today, have yourselves a great week and an even better weekend!

Until next time…
