Hello friends! I’m pretty pumped so I’m going to get right to it. We kicked off our 2016 brewing season with an exciting addition to the Regular Guy Brewing team!
This my friends is the new brain of the brewery!
Over the last year, Seth has been acquiring the parts, building, plumbing, wiring, rewiring, threw it in the river, had second thoughts and retrieved it, broke up with it and got back together who knows how many times and tinkering until this beautiful beast was ready for its maiden voyage. This thing is AMAZING! Not only does it look awesome, with some flips of some switches, it controls everything we do! The pumps are attached, the hoses run through it, there’s a heating element and it gives the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever gotten! In all seriousness, Seth did a fantastic job. Now, on to the beer porn!
Crushing grain is very serious business.
Just kidding!
Seth making some last minute adjustments.
Seth showing Brian the ropes.
I just thought this picture looked neat…
The first runnings of the Chocolate Milk Stout.
The final runnings. Looks and smells terrific!
Boil complete, filling the fermentation buckets.
Aerating before pitching the yeast!
All in all it was a great night of brewing. We hit all of our projected numbers and only had a few minor hiccups. We’ll take it!
Until next time…
