Ladies, gentlemen. I’ve been blogging for the RGB site for almost four years now. I feel like we’ve gotten to know each other really well, I trust you. We share a mutual respect. That said I think it’s time I share something really personal with you. Ok, here we go, I like my Stouts like I like my women…full of alcohol and chocolate…HAHA! I’m kidding, wife please don’t slap me when you get home! This post IS all about the Stout!

This past Friday Brian, Seth and I got together like we usually do to take care of the weekly beer stuff. While we didn’t brew, we did attend to the needs of our Chocolate Milk Stout. It was time to transfer to secondary and add the cocoa nibs. Here’s our brief night in pictures.

We pop the top off the fermentation bucket to find our Chocolate Milk Stout. Primary fermentation complete, we pulled a sample and tested it and of course tasted it!

We added the cocoa nibs to a freshly sanitized fermentation bucket.

We begin to transfer this beautiful beast on the cocoa nibs.

Transfer complete! If this doesn’t bring a tear to your eye, I don’t know what will. Cover her up and let her finish up over the next three weeks.

This was our Friday night friends, told you it was brief! One more thing before I go, I want to remind you all that we’ll be pouring three of our favorite beers at “What’s Brewing in the Park” in Sparta, IL on May 7th. If you’ve never tried our beer, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go, if you have and just want to drink more of it, come say hi! Many other homebrewers will be there, a BBQ cook off, live entertainment, a bounce house for your kids! What else could you ask for possibly? Here’s the flyer.

Until next time…
