You know, they say time flies when you’re having fun, but damn Monday, you got here too quickly! Let’s recap this beer filled weekend. Friday night Brian, Seth and I got together to get everything ready for the event at Recess Brewing on Sunday. We had to clean things up, organize the supplies we needed to bring, and of course test out the kegs.
Fast forward to Sunday morning, we got the cars loaded up, drove to lovely Edwardsville, IL, and got set up and ready to serve right at noon.
This was the first time we’ve participated in an indoor event, it was pretty nice not having to set up the canopy! It was a beautiful day, the tap room windows were pushed wide open, a nice breeze filtered in, and the patrons were taking advantage. Some biked to the event, others walked, plenty of people took advantage of the patio seating outside. All in all it was a great day for a beer, or beers! We were very pleased with the turnout and the feedback we received about the styles we brought. We saw some familiar faces and had many RGB newbies. There were also three other homebrewers there that had great beer to share, so it was a full house! Now, I will admit, I got caught up in the fun and didn’t take very many pictures, but I’ll gladly share what I do have.
Got to give a HUGE thank you to Matt and the rest of the Recess Brewing crew for allowing us to showcase our beer in their taproom. We had a blast and are hoping we can do it again soon! Got to give another HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to support us and the other homebrewers. It was a great day!
Next on the agenda? WE BREW!
Until next time…
